Orthopedic Urgent Care
MRI Imaging

At McKinley Orthopedic and Sports Medicine, we understand how important it is for our patients to receive accurate and reliable imaging services. That's why we're proud to offer Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or MRI, right here in our clinic. Approved by the FDA in 1984, MRI is the most sensitive noninvasive imaging method available, making it the gold standard for testing the components of the musculoskeletal system, including joints such as the shoulder, knee, wrist, ankle, and foot.

Our MRI is critical in properly diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal conditions, including sports injuries. With increased contrast resolution of body tissues and disease processes, our orthopedic surgeons can access excellent contrast detail between soft tissues with similar densities, ensuring the best possible diagnosis.

We understand that MRI uses powerful magnets, so the thorough screening process is critical to our patient's safety and the effectiveness of the exam. Please be prepared to answer a series of questions to determine if any metal in your body could be considered a risk factor. We will ensure that you arrive 30 minutes before your appointment to get thoroughly screened and properly dressed for your exam.

Our MRI Technologists are certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and have additional clinical experience in MRI scanning. Both experienced and knowledgeable technologists meet and exceed the minimum qualifications recommended by the American College of Radiology, ensuring the highest level of care for all our patients. At McKinley Orthopedic and Sports Medicine, we're dedicated to providing innovative, cost-effective care that enhances the quality of life for all.
