Fueled by her passion for helping others, Sonja pursued further education at the University of Washington. In 2023, she graduated from the MEDEX Physician Assistant program with a master's degree. With Alaskan roots through her family connections, Sonja decided to move to Alaska in 2022, where she joined our team here at McKinley Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, and Spine.

Within the practice, Sonja finds great fulfillment in caring for patients across all age groups. She also enjoys being on the sidelines, tending to the North Star Borough high school athletes and ensuring their well-being. As an American Academy of Physician Assistants member, Sonja remains dedicated to staying at the forefront of her field and continuously advancing her skills and knowledge.

Sonja embodies the spirit of McKinley Orthopedics, where she strives to provide innovative, compassionate care. She understands that the patients she serves are not just individuals seeking treatment; they are athletes, warriors, and individuals who refuse to let physical setbacks define their lives.
