PA Samantha Smith
Samantha is a board-certified Physician Assistant and board-certified Athletic Trainer. She attended Towson University in Maryland where she earned a Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies. She completed her orthopedic training under the guidance of various physicians at Union Memorial Hospital and at Towson Orthopedic Associates in the greater Baltimore area. Prior to her acceptance into the Physician Assistant program, Samantha worked as a certified Athletic Trainer for Towson Sports Medicine. In this setting, she provided orthopedic care to the 600 athletes of Towson High School and served as the physician extender for an orthopedic surgeon at Towson Orthopedic Associates. She earned her bachelor's degree in 2015 in dual studies in Athletic Training and Biomedical Science at Lynchburg College in Lynchburg, Virginia. Samantha has been trained orthopedically to treat patients both in the office and to assist in the surgical setting. She enjoys treating patients of all ages and specializes in treating the athletic population.
Outside of work, Samantha enjoys exploring the surrounding areas. In Baltimore, she enjoys exploring everything the city has to offer with friends and family and trying various local restaurants. She also enjoys long distant biking where she bikes 30-60 miles a day on trails throughout Maryland. Samantha plans to explore her new home in Fairbanks and looks forward to everything Alaska has to offer!
